Hometex Peru
About Hometex

Small enough to know every run.

We were the first manufacturer in Peru to produce alpaca duvets. Our workshop in Arequipa is staffed and run by women, and every piece is filled, closed and inspected by hand.

We are not a large plant and we do not pretend to be. That is the point: the same team handles your order from first sample to final inspection, which is how we hold a specification across sixty units as reliably as across six hundred.

Why choose Hometex

Three things a buyer notices on the first order.

Low minimums, and real ones

We take runs a large mill will refuse. It is the reason a boutique can carry us at all.

Development as standard

Your own construction, fill weight, shell and label. Custom work is how we operate, not a surcharge.

A workshop run by women

Filled, closed and inspected by hand, under stable working conditions, by the same team run after run.

The people

The team that fills, closes and inspects every order.

Certification and sourcing

Where the fibre comes from.

We buy alpaca directly from Peruvian farmers we return to year after year, and organic cotton from mills we have worked with since the beginning. Certification details are sent with the catalogue.
